So, what’s a print ready file mean, anyway?
Let’s take a look at how to save your file into a print ready file. Try not to get too overwhelmed, hopefully your designer is on it. If not, we’ll do what we can at Flash Print to give you some help if you need it. Here’s a great checklist to go by.
Bleed – Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet after trimming. The bleed is the part on the side of your document that gives the printer that small amount of space to move around paper and design inconsistencies.
DPI – Dots (pixels) per Inch. For print, image files are optimized at 300 DPI.
